Invitations!
So here we are in the final countdown... just around six weeks away from THE BIG DAY!!! It has been a few hectic but very fun weeks. In the mist of all the planning and organizing I was able to chuckle a bit when we received a few phone calls wondering about the invitations. For the record... No they have not gone out... and Yes you are invited.
I feel like I read in some super guide to planning a wedding, you are supposed to send out invitations six weeks before the wedding to ensure people do not loose them or forget to r.s.v.p. however I find myself surrounded by punctual individuals. The invitations will be mailed out this up and coming week so empty your mailboxes and make room. If you could please respond by July 22, 2011 (via call or email napoleonspistol@gmail.com) that would be awesome!!! Cant wait to see you all!!!

The Venue
I've always heard that location is half of what you pay for when you buy a house, but the same seems to be true with weddings as well. Fortunately, Christina and I found a wonderful location with plenty of sunshine and in good 'ol Cherry Valley, California.
Now I had never heard of Cherry Valley before, I'll be honest and say that I was expecting a ton of cherries to just be laying on the ground. And since I have yet to visit Cherry Valley myself, I am still expecting this. So please don't disappoint me by telling me otherwise.
The venue is a nice, cozy ranch house on 5 acres, so there will be plenty of room to run around with all the excitement. We plan on having the ceremony and reception outside, so make sure to bring your sunglasses and maybe even some comfortable shoes to talk in if your so inclined to explore the area. We might even come exploring with you.
The lady that manages the place has been an absolute delight to work with. I couldn't have asked for it to work out better. Well, I'm just going to keep hoping that there will be cherries everywhere when we get there.

Can I Keep Wearing It!!
So today was the BIG day... dress shopping that is. My grandmother was in town from New Mexico so I was thinking what better time than now to get everyone together while supplies last. Plus I have been feeling this strange pressure to start looking for a dress after time and time again getting a gasping reaction when I nonchalantly say no I haven't looked yet. Thus the adventure began today.
So first things first I tried on a Vera Wang dress and absolutely fell in love with it but I must admit if the dress was made by joeybobwhoever I think I would of had a easier time accepting the fact that it did not go with the theme of my wedding. So after I parted with my love we were off to store number two. Ummm hello can we get some service please!! I am no bridezilla but please if you tell me 15 minutes do not have us wait forever. Needless to say I grabbed my things said thank you and ill try to be back another time, aka thanks but no thanks. So off to store number three! I must admit this was not a place that I would of been like oh lets go here but hey at this point sure lets check it out.
Hi thank you for visiting my wonderful world of dresses where our employees are amazing and make you feel at home and will take great care of you... I think that is the sign I missed as I was talking on my phone to the soon to be MR. I loved the fact that I could get personal with the dresses. I got to check them out before I decided if we were going to go on a date or not haha. I must admit I am really bad at finding beauty on the rack because if there is no hangar appeal it looses my attention however I was determined to think outside the box and give it a go.
Two hours later I was standing in THE DRESS. I knew it was the one from the moment I saw it hanging in the dressing room, I saved it for last to try on. I was a little apprehensive about the excitement of my audience I was not sure if they were just tired of sitting hahah or if they really did love it. I guess when the bill came out and was taken care of it was a sure sign that it was a keeper. SO WE HAVE A DRESS. I had no clue that it would happen this fast but I love it!! Excited thrilled overjoyed!!! I cant wait for my Napoleon to see me in it!!!
